Seminars: re-invented for Success

Seminars in years past were a major gateway into the cosmetic surgery practice. Initially they were seen as very successful, but have over the past several years earned a reputation of not being effective. Can seminars, especially following an economic downturn, be considered a doorway into the cosmetic practice and an effective form of external marketing while yielding a positive ROI?  Success is measured in positive return on investment – prospects entering the practice, converting to patients and creating positive cash flow.  Seminar success should not be measured in the number that attend, but rather in the number that attend and convert from prospects to patients. They remain a strong doorway into the cosmetic practice, utilizing efforts to re-marketing to your current database and market to new prospects.
Seminar success requires several components, not a single effort which is often the case and does yield poor or failed results. The formula for seminar success exists in the planning, setting appropriate market expectations, execution of the event, staff preparation and finally prospect follow through after the event.
